Andrea Carson

POSITION:K-12 Art Teacher

HOMETOWN: Brillion, WI

EDUCATION: Bachelor in Fine Art Education K-12

FAMILY: My husband, Tremaine, is a Staff Sergeant for the 1st Battalion, 426th Field Artillery Regiment out of Fort McCoy, WI. We have two little guys, Oliver and Shiloh. Oliver is two years old, and Shiloh is six weeks old.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS: I love going on adventures with my family more than anything! Our favorite thing to do together is explore new outdoor places. I am obsessed with running and enjoy most other sports too. It makes me proud to be the head coach of both the high school cross country team and the varsity dance team here at Hilbert High School. If I have time to spare, I enjoy painting and throwing pottery on the potterís wheel as well.

WHY DO YOU CHOOSE TO BE A TEACHER: I chose to be a teacher because I am so sincerely passionate about working with kids. I find it really easy to build a strong rapport with children and I love having an active role in their lives as well, which is why coaching is really important to me. Making an impact on children inside the school community is so rewarding, but when I can make a life-long impact or a personal influence on a student- thatís what really tugs at my heart strings!!

A FUN FACT YOU'D LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU: One day during college, I ran from Menominee Park in Oshkosh to Green Bay just for the fun of it!!
